Leading or talking a good game
We hear about leadership all the time. He’s a good leader, a bad leader, or a natural born leader. We like to think we are good leaders. We look for leadership in our employees. We complain that our staff aren’t measuring up. We sometimes yearn for the ‘right someone’ to come along. But will we even recognize a leader when he or she comes along? Although we think we will know, I have seen many an otherwise very astute business person either miss an opportunity to take on a leader or even worse, be fooled by someone who simply talked a good game. What is it all about?
