Kevin Vick of Vick Construction & Remodeling was named 2017 Remodeler of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association. Kevin is an active member of the GHBA Remodelers Council and was President of the Remodelers Council in 2017 and Vice President in 2016. Under his presidential leadership, the Remodelers Council received a national award, the Council Award for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence (CADREs), for outstanding membership recruitment and retention from the National Association of Home Builders.
Larry Abbott of Abbott Contracting was recently installed on to the Greater Houston Builders Association Board of Directors. In addition Larry is serving as the 2018 President of the GHBA Remodelers Council. The GHBA Remodelers Council (RMC) is an organization of remodelers and industry associates dedicated to the promotion of excellence and professionalism within the organization, and public awareness of the Remodelers Council. This is achieved through education, certification and service to the membership, industry and the community.
Dan Bawden of Legal Eagle Contractors was presented with a Presidential Citation by the Greater Houston Builders Association. As outgoing President of the GHBA presented this award to because of the valuable services he performed for the organization. Dan provided much needed info for the public and industry after Hurricane Harvey. He moderated two panels with experts in flood recovery to help provide resources for the industry. In addition, Dan Bawden published informative articles in the Houston Chronicle, Qualified Remodeler and on the NAHB and GHBA websites.
